Stormie Omartian is a well know Christian speaker, writer, and author of more than 10 best selling Christian books. Her best selling book, The Power of a Praying Wife, shows women many different areas where they can pray for their husband. This book, which is also aimed to help women have a closer relationship with their husband, was one of the top ten Christian books for 50 consecutive months. For 37 of these months, the book was the number one book. Amazingly, in May of 2002, the Power of a Praying Wife by Stormie Omartian broke a 21-year industry record by being the number one Christian book for 27 consecutive months.

Stormie Omartian has written other books such as The Power of a Praying Nation, The Power of Christmas Prayer, Just Enough Light for the Step I'm On. During September of 1997, she published her autobiography entitled Stormie. Then, in July 2003, she published her latest book, The Power of Praying Together. In this book, Stormie Omartian collaborates with her longtime pastor Jack Hayford (founding pastor of Church on the Way in Van Nuys, CA). She teaches how to pray with greater direction and purpose by praying together with one or more people.

For Stormie Omartian, her "life goal is to assist people in finding a way out of their pain, lack of fulfillment, or frustration. She desires that people become all God created them to be. She inspires others to depend on God to establish and preserve strong family bonds and see themselves, their families, their marriages, and their relationships transformed. Her message is one of hope as she shares with men and women how to walk successfully with God through the challenging and difficult times, and to move into all God has for them."1

In addition to writing numerous bestsellers, Stormie Omartian has also co-written a musical called Child of the Promise with her husband, Michael. Stormie Omartian is in her 60's and lives in Nashville, TN.
