About Jonathan Edwards:
Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) pastored the church at Northampton, Massachusetts before being removed by the congregation. He then pastored an American Indian congregation at Stockbridge, where he did most of his writing. Edwards preaching was largely responsible for The Great Awakening in New England, and he is touted by many as the greatest philosopher and theologian ever in America.
