He previously served as a teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, and is the author of Everybody's Normal Till You Get to Know Them; If You Want to Walk on Water, You've Got to Get Out of the Boat; The Life You've Always Wanted; and Love Beyond Reason. He has written for Christianity Today and is a frequent contributor to Leadership Journal.
Kevin and Sherry Harney serve together atCorinth Reformed Church in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Kevin is Senior Pastor and Sherry is the director of children's ministry. They are coauthors of Finding a Church You Can Love and over thirty small group study guides (Interactions and New Community) in partnership with Bill Hybels and John Ortberg.
