About the Authors:
James C. Dobson, Ph.D., is founder and president of Focus on the Family, a nonprofit organization that produces his internationally syndicated radio programs, heard daily on more than 4,200 radio stations globally. For fourteen years, Dr. Dobson was an associate clinical professor of pediatrics at the University of Southern California School of Medicine; he served for seventeen years on the attending staff of Children's Hospital of Los Angeles in the Division of Child Development and Medical Genetics. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California (1967) in the field of child development. Shirley Dobson serves as chairperson of the National Day of Prayer Task Force. She has also authored multiple articles for Focus on the Family publications, as well as the books My Bible Coloring Book, Jesus Loves Me Coloring Book, and, with Gloria Gaither, Let's Make a Memory and Let's Hide the Word. Shirley and her husband are the parents of two grown children, Ryan and Danae. The Dobsons live in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
