GORDON S. JACKSON is the associate dean for academic affairs at Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington, and has taught journalism there since 1983. Gordon grew up in South Africa, where he worked as a journalist for a news magazine. He received his undergraduate education in South Africa before obtaining a doctorate in mass communications at Indiana University. Gordon has written five books, including Quotes for the Journey, Wisdom for the Way (NavPress).
