These include quotations from the classic Bible commentaries of Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Wesley, J.B. Lightfoot, Charles Hodge, Matthew Henry, John Owen, Martyn Lloyd-Jones, and many others. Mark Waters was born in Devon, England and trained for the Anglican ministry at theLondon College of Divinity. He was ordained as an evangelical minister in 1966. For the past 20 years hehas been engaged in the ministry of Christianliterature as a writer, editor, and advisor. He is the author of AMG's Made Simple Series, The ClassicBible Commentary, Christian Classic Series, Classic Biography series, and has compiled the comprehensive books, The Encyclopedia of Christian Quotations and The Encyclopedia of Christian Martyrs.
