About A Treasury of Great Christian Stories:
Stories! Children clamor for them and adults are drawn to them for entertainment, insight, and the reminder every person needs-"you are not alone." In this collection, your imagination will be captivated and carried off to other worlds, where you'll find inspiration, encouragement, and instruction on vital truths about how to live a life of faith. A Treasury of Great Christian Stories includes thirty-eight selections for all ages, including: The Executioner, as told by Ruth Bell Graham-the account of a man who executed Christian missionaries during the Boxer Rebellion in China, and how he was changed by the amazing courage of these martyrs. A Tale of Three Trees, an ancient folktale about three trees who long to be important, and never imagined their place in history as a manger, a boat, and a cross. A Man Called Norman, a true story by Mike Adkins and condensed by Stephen Fortosis-the moving narrative of a Christian man's encounter with an eccentric elderly neighbor and the surprising relationship they each experience. Stephen Fortosis, who received his doctorate in education from Biola University, teaches communications, writing, and Bible courses at Trinity International University's extension campus in Florida. He has written or contributed to six books, each in a different genre. The earliest story he remembers loving is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which his father read to him and his brothers.
